GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Michelle Wie’s first attempt at a title defense was short lived. Wie shot 78 at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Nov. 11 but withdrew after the round citing little cysts near her spine and a bulging disc. Wie said she’s going to see the doctor on Friday.?
“It’s nothing major,” said Wie, “but it’s just something I can’t play with right now.”
